Leland is most importantly the home of my sweet grandmother, who also happens to be the extraordinarily talented artist featured above. It is also about the most magical place on the planet. Since we don't have much in terms of "fall" here in Dallas, I can't wait for the moment when the plane starts to make the descent into Cherry Capital Airport (I mean, seriously. How cute is that??!) and all you see is orange, red and yellow leaves and Lake Michigan sparkling in the distance.
Cozy sweaters, tall boots and jeans are already packed and ready to go.
